Several of Kirkman Company’s consultants are also studying for doctoral degrees at Nyenrode University. Additionally, our consultants regularly contribute to books published by Nyenrode. In this way, Kirkman Company is helping to bridge the gap between academia and practical experience.
Nyenrode University is the only privately owned university in the Netherlands. In 1946, several captains of industry in the Dutch business world took the initiative to found this university. The most important goal when founding it was to enhance the country’s economic position and its businesses in the aftermath of World War II. Nyenrode focuses on the development and training of future leaders.
Nyenrode is selective and focuses on the motivation and social skills of doctoral candidates. Nyenrode has created an environment in which ambitious and talented students and academics contribute towards bridging the gap between academia and the knowledge acquired in day-to-day business activities.
